Since my old Java program is corrupted or might be suspected to be bad , so I need re-install the new one.
Before re-install new Java, I need to uninstall my older Java,. When Clicking ADD/REMOVE on control panel of window XP to
remove the Java, it will popup Window Installer Dialog window and give me warning message "could find out the
jre1.6.0_26-c-1-msi" Probably it is casued by Bad older Java program.
And I also use Revo uninstaller and JavaRa to remove older java but it is not successfully and old java icon is still on control panel
, probably it is due to older Java being corrupted.
And I fould in EE that is related to my issus as following link to delete bad icon of Java

The difference between JDK 1.6_03 and 1.6_26 for most cases will not be crucial.
Chances are next time you'll want to run something which does not run on your java
you'll already download Java & and everything will be once again quite different.
So as long as you are OK for now - don't worry about remnants, until they start bothering you.
And, well, never lose the hope!

Conclusion:
1- Download all latest JRE version will not allowed if older version is not removed
2-Donwload earlier version of JRE that is successful reagrdless of existing or not
older version of JRE but the application software is not working

This Java 1.6 unintstallation is obvioulsy written not very cleanly - many people experience these issue.
As I told I had it myself at some point - then I managed to re-install _18 on top of _24.
So as long as it does not work as it was supposed to work - all further assumptions are just probabilities.
So it is better to try.
I think with earlier versions of 1.6- I didn't hear these kinds of suffereing - who knows maybe they changed something there
and maybe they could work. Can we have big hope about it? No.
But I don't see many other variants.

We need to find some workaround.
Well, try naybe earlier 1.6 versions will be better.
Then look at your application - does it say it cannot work with Java 1.5

I think even can download older version of jdk like 6 update 2 or 3 but the older version of jre 26 is still there

Try installing JDK of some earlier release of Java 1.6 - say uopdate 2 or 3 - myabe that will stilll work

Well, maybe you can say rename the folder where you have old java.
I don't know what else you can do about it.
This your applaication which you need - does it say somewhere it needs Java 1.6 ?

we don't know what exactly to remove and you could do lots of bad things with regedit.
I'd suggest - try to download jdk instaed of jre and try to install that one.
jdk is a superset of jre and I hpe its installaion may not be stuck with this stuff

So it seems before doing any installation, I have to remove the older version first , any method beside using remove/add on control

After 1.6.0_18, (is 6 not 5), the situation or problem is same as before for installing 6.0_26 and "window installer" window always come out and

My though initially was like that.
try it now to install 1.6.0_18
If that works, I hope your proram will work as it is rare that difference between minor relaeses matters

In general now that you have previous version of java working fine you may try again to install the latest one.
If it asks you for destination location - select some folder which you don't have now (if the defualt which it suggests is empty leave it as it is, if not
go to seom other folder).

installation of jre15.0_18 is not problem but the game software (for testing ) is not played as before using _26., Why.

Within one big release it usually alows.
But for the beginning still try to start anew with the latest version.
The last resort will be to go to a little bit older.

I think you should as much as possible to start from clean slate.
Try t uninstall from control panel ro the extent taht it does it,
download a new file with _26 and try to instal it into different folder.
If that does not work we can download a little older version and try to install it.

Rather start from the very beginning and point it to different home location.

If you try to install 1.6.0_24 or some recent, but not excatly the same version that uou were messing with - it shows the same error all the time?
I think I had some issue with 1.6.0_24 or something recently, but then I was able to re-install 1.6.0_18 without problems.
Though I have XP, not Vista - maybe that was simpler
