? I am new in Nagios and wondering if someone could help me on this.
I am in a midst of testing the templates in Nagios XI, basically added a new template. But question is, how do I ensure that the server that is being monitored, example a CentOS server (installed with NRPE) will be updated with this changes (adding new template in XI)?. Is there any action required from the server that we want to monitor, OR everything is done by just configuring in Nagios XI server?.
Appreciate your advice.
Thanks

500 points GOOD
Templates only affect host definitions on the Nagios server. Modifying or creating a new template should not require any action on the CentOS server that is being monitored. As long as NRPE is configured and working correctly you should be good to go.
