If you don't have Symantec software try opening outlook.exe /cleanrules.
If you have Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Server Exchange (SMSMSE) You may want to check to see if you have enabled content rules that check for blank subject and sender.

Have tried the solution within that thread
The issue is iccuring with more than one user.
There are 3 - 4 that we know of as they are the ones who have taken there holidays and tried to set the OOO but others I cant be sure if they even tried to set it

No that's not what I am looking for.
Its when the user goes to set the out of office and tries to save it they get the error message
