I have a 9825nr screen flickers and now I have a horizontal line in the middle of the screen. This looks like a mirror affect as though I am splitting the screen in windows. I uninstalled the video driver but seems to not have any affect. When I now turn on the laptop, the screen comes up with the horizontal line. I flashed the bios. Any ideas on a fix???

It was the motherboard chip. I had it replaced.

500 points EXCELLENT
Sounds like a loose connection (screen flickers) and possible LCD hardware problem (line on screen). Do as others suggest, connect an external monitor and see of the problems appear on it as well. If they do, then the problem is the video chip on the motherboard and you will need to replace the motherboard. If the external monitor is clear of problems. then first check the connections for the LCD and the backlight on the motherboard AND on the LCD itself.
If the flickers stop, you found the loose connection. If the line disappears too, Great. If you cannot get rid of the line, then a new LCD is in order.

and don't forget to check if the problem happens also on an external monitor

You LCD montior is first or second display for laptop ?
Now I'm using two monitors for my laptop
second one is externally connected to my VGA port
If VGA connector is not connecting well
, please try use two screws to mount the VGP port well on your laptop
(if you monitor is second display of the laptop)

sounds like a hardware fault. have you tried plugging in an external monitor? that will tell you if it's a connection fault (between screen and body) or if it's the graphics card that's playing up.
