hi there,
The gallery app on this phone sucks. I've marked as "favourite" the photos I want to keep but there's no way to select these and copy or upload them. Should I:
a) wait for samsung to improve the Gallery app
b) use another app (recommendations welcome)
c) give up and make a cup of tea instead
Tried Quickpix as recommended by someone, but doesn't have this functionality. I just want to:
1. flip through my pics and flag the ones i want to keep (in full screen mode, ideally with one touch to select)
2. copy/ upload them somewhere (eg flickr)
3. delete the rest
Is this asking too much?
Thanks for you help!

JustPictures is "ok" but still cannot do item 3 from my question, ie "delete the rest"
On any ordinary digital camera I would be able to do this by:
i. write-protecting each photo i want to keep (this conveniently carries over to a computer as the read-only attribute, so step ii below can also be done on the computer)
ii. delete all photos (and the write-protected ones don't get deleted)
Is this too much to ask from a phone too?

Re JustPictures, this works for selecting favorites then upload, but there's no way to delete the rest in one go. Pls correct me if wrong, or advise of another app that can do this.
Ideally each app would use the same favoriting so i could say select in JustPictures and organise in ES file manager, but this does not seem to be possible.
Any help appreciated, else i'll have to give away this dump phone.

And then it blocked the screen with a banner saying this make take several minutes, then when it finally finished it said a new version is available do i want to download that. Maybe I should just quit and let it get on with it's own infinite update cycle..;-)

Trying the Kies app which is huge and taking ages to install. I fear this may be like flying to Australia to buy a paperclip. I see now why the tech singularity is near..

Here is the feedback from Samsung:
"Try these search tips and search again.
Make sure all words are spelled correctly
Try different keywords
Try more general keywords"
Great.

I've got a whole bunch of favorites saved on the original Gallery app, is there any way to transfer these out? even if one-off, eg would Kies do it? Ideally wanted to avoid PC installations but if it's the only way apart from manually redoing favorites then i may do that.
Thanks again
