I try to downalod chrome broswer from google site on my xp computer but fail to
do so with the error message "The installer failed to uncompress archive, Please download Google Chrome again"
I go to Installer Help from Google with Error 12 help at https://support.google.com/installer/answer/141430?rd=1 and
set tempporary directory at C: est( C:> set tmp=c: est) and disabled my Norton antivirus security", but it still fail to repeat chrome download and setup
and get the same error message and I checked my disk space there is still 1.7 G unused
I check my computer memory at start->computer->properties click, found RAM memory is only 256MB
Wether the physical memory is too less to download or setup todoys so big program of chrome browser ?

Finally solved it after google seach, found similar method
Just go to setup BIOS setting again for default value after restarting computer-->F8-->
BIOS setting->f6.
It might be due to incorrect BIOS setting.
Now google chrome is on my computer now

did you actually redownload the file ? after disabling norton ?
