Topic:
Java Programming Language;;Windows XP Operating System
Recenly I am using one java application software and need Sun Java runtime software donwload
and I found aaplication software is sometimes hang up or running not smoothly that is NOT same as before
And it will generate Sun Java Runtime error report on my desktop screen once the application software is
running and hang up suddenly but it will be goign back to normal if I try to refresh the whole software program.
THe file of error report name is something like hs_err_id120.log
And I try to fix and work around the Java icon menu in control panel on my Window XP.
And found nothing can help on the problem.
Any suggestion, What is wrong I am doing on my instalation of my Sun Java download
from error report attached as below

Go to Start>run, and paste
%appdata%
Rename the Sun directory to Sun-OLD
Sometimes this is all it takes to force the JRE to redownload fresh data.....If not.....
JavaRa
http://raproducts.org/wordpress/software
I would use this to cleanup your JRE installs (after they are ALL removed from the Control Panel, removing the LATEST updates FIRST, to the OLDEST LAST), then run the JavaRA.
Then, install your latest version that you need thats compatible with the app you need to run.....

If you want to simply run stuff then all you need is the JRE. If you want to compile and run, the JDK

What is different between JRE and JDK ?
Which one I should download from http://jdk7.java.net/download.html ?

If that happens often, perhaps you want t try to reinstall
the latest version of Java (JRE or JDK) from this site:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
You want to be careful to select the version of JRE or JDK which matches
your operating system
